Sometimes playing is easier than talking.

In their play, children show what is on their mind, even when they don't have the words for it yet.

At Play Bay, a child is given the space to play with whatever is there at that moment.

When play therapy?

As a parent, you sometimes notice that your child isn't feeling quite right. Perhaps your child is often angry, sad, tense or, on the contrary, withdrawn. Play therapy can help when talking alone is not enough.

Why play?

For children, play is a natural way to explore and process experiences. All kinds of things can emerge in the playroom: stories, roles, solutions, conflicts and new possibilities.

How does it work?

A process starts with an introductory meeting with the parents and the child. After that, the child comes to the playroom. A session lasts about fifty minutes and usually takes place once a week. We stay in regular contact about how things are going.

How the process works

Hi, I'm Tatiana.

I am a play therapist and the founder of Play Bay. My starting point is that I don't just look at what a child does, but stay curious about what the behaviour and the play might mean.
